__________
I create handmade art glass and jewelry. I believe in elegance through simplicity, with designs that reflect harmony with nature and the occasional sly sense of humor.
Each piece is handmade in my studio in Reno, Nevada. I use several glassmaking techniques to create decorative, as well as functional art. More recently, I’ve expanded my love for jewelry to include silversmithing. Precision and attention to detail are qualities reflected in all my designs.
Glassmaking was initially a means for me to attain balance during a demanding career in high tech. Glass captured my spirit instantly and, after taking a couple of classes, I set up a small work area. As my skill level expanded and I needed more equipment to support the new techniques I was learning, I established a larger studio. This space now includes a jeweler’s workbench and the tools of the trade for silversmithing as well as a lathe for making cabochons from chunks of rock.
I’ve studied with some of today’s most experienced glassmakers and smiths and I’m constantly learning, experimenting, refining my skills, and expanding my techniques to keep up with where my imagination calls me.
