I live in South Suburban Reno which is proximal to absolutely gorgeous and wild vistas such as the Sierras, Washoe Lake and the Bird Sanctuary, the Dunes, Genoa, the Virginia Foothills, Lake Tahoe, Squaw and Truckee.
These vistas screamed ‘PAINT ME.’ So, I paint, generally in oil or acrylic en Plein Air (which means that I paint on site, outdoors).
I paint using saturated color and I prefer larger works. I want to capture and communicate the feeling and energy of the site.
