Kathryn Dudley

I am a lifelong Reno resident. I have considered myself an artist from a very young age. I fell in love with watercolor painting in high school art classes, but pursued a career in nursing in lieu of my love for art. After raising my son I became committed to re-exploring my love of painting. I began watercolor classes in February of 2008 and have been actively painting since. I became a member of Sierra Watercolor Society in August of 2008 and have been successfully showing and selling my works at local shows.
I won first place in the water media division at the Latimer Art Club miniature show in 2010 for my piece “Wild Red Currants”. I was awarded third place in the portrait division at the Balloon race show sponsored by the Sierra Watercolor Society in 2011 for my portrait of a border collie titled “Katie”.
I continue to take classes and challenge my abilities with a variety of subject matters. Being a native Nevadan, the landscapes and animals of the high desert continue to be my love to represent in her watercolors.
